Illusions has been coloring and cutting Cape Cod hair from Mashpee Commons since 1989, and a great many of our guests have sat in the same chair with the same stylist for a decade or more. That’s the part we’re proudest of — but you shouldn’t take our word for it.

Illusions is a color-focused salon at 24 Steeple Street in Mashpee Commons, open since 1989 with nine licensed stylists. Two-thirds of what we do is color — foil highlights, single-process, balayage, baby lights and root melt, plus fashion color and color correction — and our stylists spend most of every week on exactly that.
Around it we cut hair for the whole family, run three professional smoothing systems for Cape Cod humidity, and style for weddings and events. We use Matrix color, and carry Matrix, Color Wow and IGK for taking care of it at home. Full pricing is on our service menu.
But the thing that actually shows up in the reviews isn’t any of that. It’s that people get the same stylist, who remembers what they asked for last time, and who tells them honestly when something won’t work on their hair.
